To get paid for writing? Wow, that's the ultimate pipe dream. lol ;) How can you be a sell out? Most times we don't get paid enough for anyone to think that. You don't need that doubt swimming in your head. Take what opportunity comes along and be proud, more so if you get a paycheck.

As long as they get you the paycheck, then they probably aren't spammers. I'm sure your friend was just trying to look out for you. It's so easy to get caught up in wanting something and there are people that take advantage of others out there.

But I think you did the right thing. You got to write and get paid for it. There's nothing wrong with that.

I have had the problem of my brother stating a time or two that if I wasn't careful I would be a sell out. For a while I worried about it but the fact is if you are getting paid doing what you love then you aren't a sell out. You are at the beginnings of living your dream.

So go with your gut and hang in there. As long as you are living your dream then you are doing fine.
